Q + A

Can I stay at another hotel or Airbnb close by?

Unfortunately no, the hotel is all inclusive and does not allow outside guests.

Can I bring my kids?

The Marquis is an adults only resort. If your kid is over 18, sure!

How do I get to the hotel from the airport?

You can book a ride in advance via sites like viator.com, a private car runs about $30-$60 a person. You can also hop on a shuttle at the airport for about $18. Only bummer is that you'll need to wait until it fills up to leave and run the risk of other drop off stops before the Marquis. Uber is ONLY available from the hotel BACK to the airport.

*PLEASE NOTE* When you arrive at the Cabo airport after customs and baggage - DO NOT chat with any of the aggressive timeshare salesman before exiting!

How far is the hotel from the airport?

Approximately 25 minutes if you go direct. If you opt for a van with other travelers, it could take you up to 45 minutes.

Is the wedding on the beach (sand)?

No. Formal wear and sand do not go well together, so bring those heels ladies (and gents).

Is it safe?

Absolutely! We've been going to the Marquis for over a decade and it's 100% safe.

Do I need pesos or cash in general?

When you book your room, you're paying for everything up front (food, drinks, snacks +more!) You will want to bring around $100 cash in small bills for tips and beach vendor souvenirs, they prefer American dollars.

Do I need to stay 3 nights in order to come to the wedding?

You can stay as long as you'd like! The official room block is for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. It's preferred that you stay all three nights but feel free to do as you wish!

Are there any activities at the hotel?

Yes! There are so many. We love pool volleyball, salsa dancing class, the art walk, archery, yoga, pickle ball, and casino night. You can opt into any activities day of. The more the merrier!

Can I book outside excursions?

Absolutamente! We have done the sunset cruise and loved it. There are tons of options for this and it's easy to book online. Transport can be arranged by the hotel or you can Uber. Jet skiing is also a fan favorite. If you're a surfer, you cannot surf on site but it's a quick drive and one of the legendary perks of Cabo.

Can I swim in the ocean?

100% no. Unfortunately this resort is located in an area with notoriously dangerous rip currents... so don't think after a few margaritas you're invincible. They do make you sign a waivor.
